Quality Control Technician – Paris, ON

As a member of the Quality Control Department, the Quality Control Technician will be required to maintain our calibration control system, participate in continuous improvement projects, and update quality documents. The candidate will also be required to be in close communication with management and production employees on a daily and on-going basis.

Job Description

Maintain calibration system, validation and maintain tools and testing equipment
Identify and resolve quality issues.

Machine Inspection including but not limited to:
Inspection of upper frame assemblies verifying correct options installed and confirming build quality.
Inspect and measure parts using calibrated precision measuring equipment to determine conformance to specifications and drawings
Report bill of material and drawing problems and/or concerns.
Identify and resolve quality issues.
Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations regarding process flow.
Support with the implementation of quality control objectives, activities and procedures.
Update Quality feedback boards with metrics and photos

Diploma in Engineering or related field; completion of Certified Quality Technician training Strong interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of raw materials, machining and fabrication production processes, quality control, costs, and ability to read fabrication drawings
Experience in measurement, with ability to measure complex profiles using a variety of measurement tools
Experience with test equipment calibration/repair
High level of mathematical skills
Computer literacy (ERP Software, Microsoft Excel)
Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
Good organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve effectively and efficiently
Power user of Microsoft Excel
Comprehensive knowledge of tool, gage and instrument operations
Comprehensive understanding of drawings and specifications with an understanding of geometric tolerances and dimensions.
Must possess advanced math skills.
Previous experience in the manufacturing of heavy equipment industry considered an asset.
