Job Title: MANAGER, CORPORATE PLANNING AND ANALYSIS
Reports to: Sr. Manager, FINANCE
The Corporate Planning and Analysis Group is responsible for driving the consolidated periodic forecast, annual budget process, enterprise capital allocation and 3-Year Strategic Financial Plan. Corporate FP&A is responsible for delivering value-added business analysis as well as defining and reporting on meaningful financial and operational metrics that lead to insightful, accurate business decision-making. Manager, Corporate Planning and Analysis role will provide the candidate with opportunities to drive forward our automation journey as well as drive insights to support management reporting. This position focusses on supporting financial analysis required during our budgeting and planning cycle and manage our cloud based Enterprise Planning and Budgeting system (Oracle EPBCS). The role will report to Senior Manager, Corporate Planning and Analysis
Drive Automation through our cloud based planning and budgeting tool
Work with various stakeholders that use EPBCS for planning and budgeting and address their requirements including master data updates, forms and data reconciliations
Perform quarterly review of users within the system
Responsible for maintenance and deployment of enhancements to EPBCS
Evaluate current planning and budget process and help identify opportunities for enhancements
Financial Analysis and Reporting
Ability to perform P&L analysis and ensure accuracy across multiple plan drivers;
Ability to manage large datasets and work with multi-dimensional databases to generate reports and insights eg. Inflation and Market share trends
Work with the team to manage the end-to-end planning process including working with various business units for smooth and accurate flow of information
Perform trend analysis to generate insights for management reporting
Develop efficient reporting and analytical tools to enable process efficiencies
Prepare board presentations pertaining to budgets, 3-year plans and compensation management
Participate in 3-year planning and strategic planning meetings
Special projects and ad-hoc reporting as required
Bachelor degree or greater (e.g. Business, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, etc.);
Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, or working towards the designation;
2- 3 years planning and forecasting related work experience;
Exceptional analytical skills and proven capability to drive insights from data and analytics;
Experience with and/or exposure to Application Tools such as Python and R;
Experience with and/or exposure to Oracle Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Solution (EPBCS);
Ability to self-organize multiple tasks well and to complete them on time with a clear focus on quantitative results;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Willingness to work well in a fast-paced team environment;
Ability to “think outside the box”.
Strong project management skills with the ability to leverage resources (people, processes, departments, tools) to complete objectives effectively and efficiently;
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other departments and build strong working relationships.
