Schedule: Mixed Shifts (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM & 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) | Every Second Weekend Off
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, highly responsible, and self-motivated Public Area Attendant to join our hotel team. This is a stand-alone role that requires strong autonomy, time management, and a high level of accountability.
As the primary person responsible for our common spaces, you will ensure our lobby, hallways, guest facilities, and exterior entrances maintain a spotless, welcoming presentation for our guests at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Public Space Maintenance: Clean, sanitize, and maintain all public areas including the main lobby, hallways, restrooms, stairwells, and guest amenities.
- Guest Service & Deliveries: Promptly respond to guest requests and deliver requested items (linens, amenities, rollaway beds) to guest rooms with a professional demeanor.
- Seasonal & Exterior Upkeep: Assist with light exterior maintenance, including occasional snow removal and salting near main entranceways during winter weather.
- Cross-Departmental Support: Provide occasional assistance to the laundry facility and support the broader housekeeping team with tasks as operational needs arise.
- Independent Execution: Take full ownership of daily shift checklists without needing direct, constant supervision.
Position Requirements & Qualifications
- Reliability & Maturity: A proven track record of dependability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently in a solo role.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work a rotating schedule of morning (7 AM – 3 PM) and evening (3 PM – 11 PM) shifts, including every second weekend.
- Physical Capability: Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, lift up to 30–50 lbs, and perform light manual labor (such as snow shoveling) during seasonal changes.
- Customer Service Mindset: Polite, approachable, and discrete when interacting with hotel guests in public spaces and guest room corridors.
