Location: Beethoven at Home works with teachers in all major Canadian cities as well well as all regions of Canada.
Requirements:
- Access to reliable transportation if you are interested in teaching in-home lessons. Do note that while we accept online only teachers it is the most competitive service. - You need to be enthusiastic, patient, and adaptable with a genuine love for teaching music.
- You need to be comfortable working independently.
- Skilled in teaching technique and repertoire in a way that is both fun and engaging.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Music, a post secondary diploma or ARCT completion is preferred. In piano RCM 10 or ABRSM 8 are viewed as the minimum requirements. We will work with current music students in music programs at universities and conservatories. We are also able to accept people that teach unusual instruments where a diploma is not the norm (ex. Banjo, mandolin, erhu)
Responsibilities:
- Inspire students to love making music.
- Complete a monthly invoicing report accurately and on time.
- Guide students toward discipline and growth in their musical journey.
- Build strong rapport with students to help them achieve success.
- Provide brief progress updates to parents following each lesson.
- Ensure that students are given weekly work written in an assignment book and that standard pedagogical practices are followed.
Application Instructions:
Please submit your CV on Indeed only. If you are selected to join the team you will receive an email communication to create a teaching profile online for our HR department. Please do this completely and without delay.
Rates:
Since 2007 music teachers across Canada have agreed that we are the best company to work for and have fantastic marketing and great rates of pay for our team.
