Position Overview
We are looking for reliable drivers to handle freight all over Canada. This role involves safe operation of company vehicles, timely deliveries, and professional customer interaction.
Key Duties
- Check the truck and load before departure, making sure freight is packaged and secured to prevent damage; close and lock doors properly.
- Complete all mandatory pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate logbook and ELD records. Report any mechanical issues to your supervisor immediately.
- Deliver orders to customers following a scheduled route to ensure prompt and accurate service.
- Drive safely at all times and follow all traffic regulations.
- Perform assigned pickups efficiently and safely.
- Communicate with customers in a courteous, professional way and notify your supervisor of any delivery concerns or inconsistencies.
- Submit all required paperwork—delivery receipts, non-delivery documents, and other records—accurately and on time.
- Keep the truck interior clean and free of debris that could create hazards.
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude and contribute to a safe workplace by reporting incidents or near misses as soon as they occur.
Qualifications
- Valid DZ licence with a minimum of 2+ years of driving experience.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to meet U.S. DOT/FMCSA safety and compliance rules.
- Legally able to work in Canada
Language Requirement
To comply with U.S. DOT and FMCSA standards, drivers must have sufficient English proficiency to:
- Understand signage and shipping paperwork
- Communicate with enforcement
- Follow verbal and written safety instructions
(This is a safety-based requirement.)
Compliance Expectations
- Accurate use of ELD systems is mandatory.
- Required documents include:
- Driver’s licence copy
- Criminal background check
- Driver’s Abstract
- CVOR Abstract
- Three job references (name, title, contact information)

- Do you currently hold a valid Ontario Class DZ licence?
- Do you have experience driving 5-ton/straight trucks for commercial deliveries?
- Are you comfortable operating a straight truck with liftgate/tailgate?
- Do you have at least 2 year of commercial driving experience?
- Can you professionally handle high-value, time-sensitive, and white glove freight?
- Can you provide a recent clean Driver’s Abstract and CVOR (within 30 days)?
- Are you legally permitted to work in Canada for commercial trucking?
- Do you have any criminal charges or past convictions that would prevent you from working in Canada?
- Are you available for trips that may require early morning, late evening, or occasional overnight runs?
- Are you able to complete electronic logs (ELD) and follow all MTO safety regulations?
