Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, construction, and concrete forming, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics accurately. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, including restoration, siding, and heavy equipment operation, contributing to high-quality building and renovation efforts.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure precise execution of framing tasks
- Construct and install wood and metal frameworks for buildings, walls, floors, and ceilings using hand tools and power tools
- Perform concrete forming and finishing as required for various projects
- Operate heavy equipment safely to assist with lifting and positioning materials
- Install siding, perform restoration work, and complete carpentry tasks with attention to detail
- Use welding techniques where necessary to secure structural components
- Conduct quality checks on framing work to ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications
- Assist in the setup and teardown of job sites, maintaining a clean and organized workspace
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction, carpentry, or related fields with knowledge of concrete forming, siding, restoration, and woodworking
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery operation
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or working at heights
- Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid carpentry certification or relevant experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- 1–2 years of framing or construction experience preferre
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
