Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Prior restaurant experience is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Ensure food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards are upheld throughout the shift
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Assist in food preparation and kitchen tasks as needed
- Maintain a clean dining area, including table clearing and resetting for new guests
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred, especially in restaurant settings
- Familiarity with food handling, sanitation protocols, and food safety regulations
- Experience using POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Basic math skills for billing, making change, and processing transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food industry standards related to serving, upselling, and guest services
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while managing multiple tables or tasks simultaneously
