Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to move materials safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse
- Perform heavy lifting tasks with proper technique to prevent injury and ensure product integrity
- Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and update stock records accurately
- Assist with order picking processes by selecting products according to order specifications and preparing items for shipment
- Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment, ensuring mechanical functionality and reporting any maintenance needs
- Utilize clamp trucks for handling specific types of loads requiring specialized gripping mechanisms
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by adhering to safety protocols and warehouse procedures
Experience
- Proven experience operating forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, in a warehouse or distribution setting
- Mechanical knowledge sufficient to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on forklift equipment
- Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes and inventory management systems (WMS)
- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to inventory counts, measurements, and weight estimations
- Prior experience with order picking tasks in a fast-paced environment is highly desirable
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing, walking, and operating machinery for extended periods
- Valid forklift certification or licensing as required by local regulations
