Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in acute care nursing, with a passion for providing exceptional patient care in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, ICU experience is considered an asset as well. As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will play a vital role in delivering immediate, comprehensive medical attention to patients experiencing urgent health issues. Your expertise in medical terminology, medication administration, and patient assessment will ensure optimal outcomes for those in need of emergency care.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions rapidly and accurately to determine priority and appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures following established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor vital signs and observe patient responses to treatment, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and progress within electronic health record systems such as Epic
- Provide specialized care for diverse populations including pediatrics, seniors with dementia or chronic conditions, and patients requiring pain management or home care services.
Experience
- Proven experience working in hospital emergency departments for 2+ years
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic is considered an asset
- Extensive background in nursing practices including medication administration, patient care management, and medical terminology proficiency.
- Demonstrated ability to perform effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
- ICU experience is considered an asset

Pay: $79.50-$92.75 per hour
