Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Physics Part-Time Tutor to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire students, enhance their understanding of physics, and help them achieve academic success. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for teaching, strong subject matter expertise, and a genuine desire to make a difference in students’ educational journeys.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and tailored physics tutoring sessions to students at various skill levels
- Assess students’ understanding and develop customized lesson plans to address individual needs
- Support students with homework, exam preparation, and conceptual understanding of physics topics
- Incorporate technology and computer skills to enhance learning experiences
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and confidence
- Communicate progress and challenges effectively with students and parents or guardians
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, student progress, and instructional materials
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of physics, math, and related science subjects
- Proven tutoring or teaching experience, especially in classroom or one-on-one settings
- Excellent computer skills for utilizing educational software and online resources
- Background in classroom experience or special education is a plus
- Familiarity with computer science concepts is advantageous
- Passion for education and helping students succeed through active engagement and support
Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
