District Sales Manager - Overview
The Muskoka Roastery Coffee Company is seeking to accelerate profitable growth by expanding our Direct territory footprint while driving performance in existing stores through disciplined execution, rigorous analysis, and insight-led selling.
Reporting to the Director of Sales, the District Sales Manager is accountable for annual account planning, performance management, relationship building, and developing programs that deliver measurable results.

There are two direct reports - a Customer Experience Representative, who is the primary order interface for customers and the Direct Territory Sales Manager, who provides full service within our defined routes. The District Sales Manager will spend up to 50% of time in the field selling.
Success in this role will be measured by achieving defined KPI’s, highlighted by unit sales growth. This position works out of the Huntsville, Ontario office.
Responsibilities
- Build an annual plan to deliver the Direct target, with clear deliverables for each customer class, Top10 priorities and defined customer development initiatives.
- Grow the customer base with new, profitable, sustainable accounts while minimizing losses.
- Build long-term customer relationships by delivering exceptional service, responsiveness and a strong understanding of each customer's business.
- Develop evidence-based selling stories, with defined best practices, gold standards and incremental opportunities.
- Supervise, coach and support the Customer Experience Representative and Direct Territory Sales Manager, providing ongoing feedback, direction and development.
- Monitor all metrics, with clear accountability for corrective actions when performance deviates from plan.
- Identify and communicate customer, consumer and competitive marketplace trends.
- Work collaboratively with MRCC Team to deliver the optimal customer experience.
- Represent MRCC professionally to strengthen the company's reputation and brand in the marketplace.
Qualifications
- Degree from a post-secondary institution.
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience with a proven record of delivering growth and developing new business.
- Previous experience supervising, coaching or coordinating employees.
- Experience within the consumer-packaged goods (CPG), beverage or coffee industries is considered a strong asset.
- Demonstrated success building long-term customer relationships while consistently achieving sales targets.
- Proven ability to analyze data independently, draw conclusions, and turn insights into commercial actions.
- Ability to clearly present complex information to senior stakeholders and customers.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Outstanding interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
