Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. Part Time looking for seasoanal or year round work covering weekly loads. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage freight effectively. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of service.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy trucks to transport freight to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local driving regulations.
- Assist with basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.
- Operate forklifts or other heavy equipment when required for loading and unloading.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
- Proven experience in commercial driving or freight transportation is preferred.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of automotive repair is advantageous.
- Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
