Come join our small and growing product development team, as we are seeking a part-time (with the opportunity to work full-time) Product Media Coordinator.
As the Product Media Coordinator, you will be working directly with both our Product Development Manager, Product Development Specialist and Marketing Manager to coordinate content and media creation across all of our products and being involved in coordinating the design for new product packaging and reviewing ongoing packaging needs.
This position is a hybrid model, with the expectations to work 3 out of 5 days in-office, with the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home on the other 2 days in the week, at a minimum of 25-hours a week.
What does this role involve?
- Creating and providing high-quality photography and video assets for the product development and marketing team to utilize
- Coordinating and creating content for the marketing department
- Scheduling media time blocks with electrical contractor, organising a shoot list each week, and understanding what outside tools are needed to demonstrate on a regular schedule.
- Assisting our product development team in evaluating packaging for continuous improvements and identifying eco-friendly options across each product line.
- Directly communicating and collaborating with the VP of Product Development, Product Development Manager and Marketing Manager
- Assist in the preparation of brochures, reports, newsletters, packaging, marketing, or sales resources and materials
- Assistance with graphic design and creating assets (ex covers & thumbnails) for the Inventors Corner Forum.
- Collaborate with our graphic designer and Product Development Manager to evaluate and create packaging design and necessary updates.
- Communicate efficiently with graphic design, including all product details and information are handed off for new product packaging designs.
- Maintain and continuously update the Rack-A-Tiers general packaging guide
- Assisting our Amazon team by coordinating and maintaining accurate Amazon packaging guidelines and updating product information when necessary
- Assist our Product Development team in coordinating in-house printing for product labels and packaging and sourcing more cost-effective print shops and suppliers
- Assist and facilitate with the Marketing Manager and Product Development Manager in the creation of clear Brand Guidelines.
- Assist in creating and maintaining Brand language guidelines based on current development updates as well as streamlining visual language for new product launches.
- Access to our filming and photography studio, purposed for creating product assets both in video and photography.
- Utilizing photo and video editing software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, CapCut, Canva etc...)
- Working directly with our President and Electrical Consultant by visiting different sites to film for marketing or product content.
About You!
- You possess an interest and experience in graphics and using various photo and video editing software such as photoshop, InDesign, illustrator, etc.
- You possess a high interest and experience in photography, filming, and content creation for various teams and individuals, particularly within the domain of products.
- You have an interest in growing into a Product Development focused role, with an opportunity to work on product design, functionality and being involved in development of tools
- You possess an interest in creative work and implementing various design concepts
- You possess a high level of attention to detail and are interested in discovering opportunities for continuous improvement
- You are looking to build your career with growth opportunities in marketing, product development and packaging design
- You are adept at multitasking, communicating, and coordinating with different people and across departments
- You can work autonomously, working effectively with and without supervision
- You possess the ability to learn new software and processes quickly
- You enjoy the opportunity to get out from behind your desk multiple times a day, taking trips to and from our warehouse and studio, which would include carrying things (products or equipment) up and down a set of stairs.
Qualification/Experienced Required
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Completion of, or enrolled in a university degree, or college diploma in photography, digital media, arts, business marketing, or a related discipline is preferred
- Experience in coordinating product photography and video shoots
- Experience with marketing and content creation
- Experience in a product development environment is a plus
Working Conditions
- Required to work on your feet throughout the day and navigate a 3-story building with stairs (no elevator or adequate wheelchair accessibility)
- Required to travel to different sites for filming (transportation provided)

Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
