Aurora Luxe Nail Salon Inc. is seeking a skilled, friendly, and passionate Nail Technician to join our growing beauty team. As a Nail Technician, you will play an important role in creating an exceptional experience for our clients through excellent service, creativity, and attention to detail. This position offers an opportunity to grow with our salon, build long-term client relationships, and contribute to the success of a professional beauty business in Aurora.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nail care services, including manicures, pedicures, shellac/gel polish, bio gel, acrylic nails, nail extensions, and nail enhancements.
- Perform nail shaping, filing, cuticle care, polish application, and detailed finishing work with care and precision.
- Create nail art and custom designs based on client preferences and current trends.
- Provide body waxing services, if experienced or trained.
- Communicate professionally with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and desired results.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized workstation at all times.
- Follow proper salon hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards for tools, equipment, and service areas.
- Help create a comfortable, friendly, and relaxing environment for clients.
- Manage appointments and walk-in clients efficiently when needed.
- Recommend additional services or retail products to enhance the client experience.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat visits.
- Stay updated on the latest trends, techniques, products, and best practices in nail care and beauty services.
- Work cooperatively with team members to support a positive and professional salon environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Nail Technician or in a similar beauty industry role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of manicures, pedicures, gel polish, bio gel, acrylics, nail extensions, and nail art techniques.
- Body waxing experience is an asset but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Knowledge of salon sanitation standards, hygiene procedures, and safe work practices.
- Retail sales or upselling experience is an asset.
- Professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, responsible, and able to work well as part of a team.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, is preferred.
- Certification, training, or licensing related to nail care or beauty services is an asset, where applicable.
