Role Summary
iScope Concussion and Pain Clinic is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Kinesiologist / Clinical Documentation & Care Coordinator to join our Surrey clinic. This role is responsible for providing clinical kinesiology services to patients recovering from concussion, neurological, musculoskeletal, and functional injuries, while also supporting documentation, treatment planning, ICBC reporting, physician workflow, and interdisciplinary care coordination.
The successful candidate will be comfortable managing a high-volume active rehabilitation caseload while maintaining accurate clinical documentation and supporting patients through their recovery journey.

YOUR IMPACT:
Clinical Kinesiology & Patient Care
- Provide therapeutic kinesiology sessions for patients recovering from concussion, MVA-related injuries, neurological conditions, musculoskeletal injuries, and functional limitations.
- Develop and progress individualized exercise programs based on patient goals, tolerance, symptoms, and clinical presentation.
- Provide education on pacing, body mechanics, symptom management, movement retraining, functional recovery, and return-to-activity principles.
- Monitor patient response to treatment and modify sessions as clinically appropriate.
Assessment & Treatment Planning
- Conduct initial assessments, reassessments, functional movement assessments, mobility assessments, lifting assessments, and cardiovascular/concussion-related assessments.
- Support return-to-work and return-to-activity planning within scope.
- Complete treatment plans, progress reports, and reassessment documentation to support ongoing care and funding continuity.
- Identify when patient concerns should be escalated to the appropriate physician, therapist, team lead, adjuster, or administrative contact.
Clinical Documentation & Reporting
- Complete accurate and timely clinical charting following patient appointments, assessments, care planning discussions, and patient-related communications.
- Document exercises completed, symptom responses, progress, limitations, treatment modifications, education provided, and relevant patient concerns.
- Support ICBC-related documentation, treatment plan submissions, progress reports, and other insurer-related reporting as required.
- Assist with physician report drafting and clinical documentation support, as needed, under the direction of the appropriate physician.
Interdisciplinary Care Coordination
- Communicate with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, physicians, front desk staff, billing, administrative teams, patients, caregivers, adjusters, lawyers, and external providers as needed.
- Support continuity of care by helping coordinate patient updates, treatment recommendations, scheduling clarification, and documentation needs.
- Participate in case discussions, care planning, and interdisciplinary communication for shared or complex patients.
- Help patients understand available services and navigate treatment pathways where appropriate.
Operational & Administrative Support
- Provide limited administrative support related to patient flow, documentation clarification, intake communication, scheduling questions, and internal workflow coordination.
- Use clinic systems to support timely documentation, communication, report completion, and treatment plan tracking.
- Contribute to internal process improvement and team communication where appropriate.
WHAT YOU BRING
Ideal candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology
- Active registration with BCAK.
- Professional liability insurance.
- Experience in active rehabilitation, concussion care, functional assessment, or MVA/ICBC-related rehabilitation is strongly preferred.
- Training or experience with concussion management, Buffalo Concussion Treadmill Testing, functional movement assessment, and return-to-work/return-to-activity planning is an asset.
- Experience with clinical documentation, treatment plans, progress reports, or insurer-related documentation is considered an asset.
Preferred Assets:
- Strong understanding of active rehabilitation, biomechanics, functional movement, pacing strategies, and symptom monitoring.
- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while completing timely and accurate documentation.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including empathy, professionalism, active listening, and patient education.
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, allied health providers, administrative staff, and external stakeholders.
- Comfort working with patients experiencing persistent symptoms, insurance-related stress, complex injuries, and return-to-work concerns.
- Proficiency with EMR systems, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, PDF tools, and exercise prescription software.

Working Conditions
This is an in-clinic role based at the Surrey clinic. The position involves direct patient care, frequent movement throughout the clinic, exercise demonstration, equipment setup, functional assessment, and regular computer-based documentation. The role requires strong time management due to the combination of patient care, charting, reporting, and interdisciplinary communication.
