We are looking to fill a position on our team for a Building Operator who has the same high standards, business ethics and integrity that our team possess.
The ideal candidate will bring a take charge attitude, have an eye for detail and passion for working in the field. They will provide good communication and excellent customer service to our clients and our team.
Duties will include overseeing, coordinating and managing the day to day operational affairs of two office buildings, providing annual budget and capital planning assistance for the long-term operational requirements of the buildings.
This position will also require the supervision, coaching and directing of building staff and contractors engaged for various site projects. The position requires being available and participating with after-hours emergency calls on a rotation with other team members.
Qualifications for this position include at minimum an ABSA 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate, Valid Drivers Licence and vehicle to travel, a sound knowledge of building systems, life safety, emergency procedures, project and construction coordination skills.
Preference will be given to individuals with at least 10 years of experience in general maintenance of commercial office complexes and physical plant operations with HVAC systems and also possess a practical knowledge in plumbing, electrical, fire and security systems.
