Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Kitchen Helper/Cook to join our culinary team. This role involves assisting with food preparation, cooking, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service environments, possess strong kitchen skills, and be committed to delivering excellent meal quality in a fast-paced setting.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Cook and prepare dishes ensuring quality, presentation, and timely service
- Handle food safely, following proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination
- Serve food to customers or staff in a courteous and efficient manner
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
- Support inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of stock needs
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service environments preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to serve meals efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Strong understanding of meal preparation processes within the food industry or restaurant setting
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and basic cooking techniques
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is highly desirable for this role
Pay: $17.85-$25.25 per hour
