Looking for a Maintenance Superintendent for our Scarborough Mill. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this position assists in the strategic direction and leadership for the Maintenance Department to ensure the safe and optimal performance of all equipment and that quality output meets or exceeds both short- and long-term objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Actively support our Business Plan and strategic initiatives through meeting our OEE targets and other relevant KPIs.
- Champion TPM implementation.
- Assist the reliability engineers and the maintenance supervisors of each area team to improve the preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Oversee central mill services and mobile equipment.
- Promote safe work habits and maintain existing safety programs and rules. Facilitate safety initiatives to improve safety performance and actively support the Health & Safety specialist. Actively engage and encourage participation in the SafeStart program.
- Conduct monthly safety meetings with the maintenance team.
- Collaborate with the management team in recruiting and hiring team players for the maintenance group.
- Ensure that maintenance personnel are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that predictive, preventive, and break-down maintenance can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
- Maintain and update operating and training manuals for the maintenance department and ensure that all maintenance technicians are trained in the most updated version of the operating procedures.
- Improve and maintain the maintenance management system for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment.
- Ensure city, province, and federal regulations relating to the maintenance department are always met.
- Assist in the preparation of the budget for each fiscal year and recommend any equipment upgrades/needs.
- Prepare reports, analyze data, and make recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems.
- Perform other tasks or jobs as needed or required.

Requirements:
· Mechanical/Electrical Engineer preferred and/or 10 years experience minimum
- Experience working in a Mill and/or Oil/Gas industry.
- Superior knowledge of and commitment to safety and to the environment.
- A passion for continuous improvement. Experience on TPM is a plus.
- Experience with maintenance control systems, spare parts procurement and purchasing processes.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, ability to prepare reports and present at meetings.
- Goal and results oriented.

Pay: $51,737.07-$137,119.23 per year
