The Electrical Field Engineer is responsible for supervising, installing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment at project or site locations. The role ensures all electrical works are completed according to project specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements while coordinating with contractors, technicians, and project teams.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct site inspections and monitor electrical installation activities
- Supervise electrical construction, maintenance, and commissioning works
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards
- Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders
- Prepare daily, weekly, and progress accomplishment reports
- Perform testing and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems
- Monitor project schedules, materials, and manpower requirements
- Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance activities
- Ensure proper documentation of field activities and technical reports
- Support project engineers and managers during project execution
- Conduct risk assessments and enforce workplace safety practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Licensed Electrical Engineer is preferred
- Proven experience in electrical field engineering, construction, or maintenance
- Knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
- Familiarity with electrical codes and safety standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering software tools
- Willing to travel or work on-site/project locations
Pay: $79,000.00-$96,000.00 per year
