Access Mental Health is a centralized, telephone-based access and intake service providing a single point of contact for individuals seeking support for mental health and/or addiction concerns. Serving children, adolescents, adults, and families, this program offers timely, responsive, and client-centered care across the lifespan. Reporting to the Program Manager, the Administrative Assistant 111 is responsible for supporting the Access Mental Health team and overall operations. As an integral member of a collaborative multi-disciplinary team, they work in an integrated and coordinated manner. The position requires strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently and inter-dependently in a telephone-based clinical contact center environment. Success in this role requires highly developed skills in referral management and office administration. Primary referral management duties include data entry into Connect Care and facilitation of contact with clients and referral sources as required throughout the life cycle of a referral. Office administration responsibilities include timekeeping, minute-taking and supply management.
As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Business or secretarial certificate/diploma. 3-5 years of intermediate technical/professional experience. Ability to work in a sedentary, busy, and fast-paced clinical environment with frequent interruptions, shifting priorities and overlapping deadlines. Ability to professionally deal with sensitive clinical and administrative information. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, referral sources, and healthcare professionals. Ability to take initiative to complete tasks, meet required deadlines and coordinate challenging priorities with minimal supervision. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Strong computer and keyboarding skills, including accurate and efficient data entry (minimum 50 WPM), with proficiency in Recovery Alberta standard software, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook and internet applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous administrative experience working within a Mental Health and Addiction setting. Experience using Connect Care and the Genesys phone system.
