Administrative Assistant - Wealth Management

The Opportunity:
The Administrative Assistant offers support to all members of our team. We are a client-centric firm, and in this role, you will be directly supporting the client relationship, fielding incoming calls and emails, managing client inquiries, and greeting clients for in-person meetings, to optimize the client experience. The Administrative Assistant will play an integral role in creating and maintaining current and complete documentation to comply with securities regulations. It is expected that the individual in this role work towards their securities licensing both in Canada and the USA, to grow into a role where they can offer trading and account support to the portfolio management team. Opportunities also exist to offer support to our financial planning team, and work towards a CFP or CFA designation. You’ll work directly with our highly skilled and specialized team, right up to the partner level, gaining insight into all aspects of the cross-border wealth management world.
Requirements:
- An undergraduate degree in business, finance, commerce, economics or accounting.
- Co-op or other internship experience in a relevant field, with strong references.
- Strong interpersonal skills that exemplify a high level of customer service to meet our client’s expectations.
- Strong verbal and telephone communication skills.
- Ability to work well within our tight-knit, diverse, and dynamic team.
- Ability to demonstrate the highest level of ethics and discretion.
- Self-starter, independent worker and motivated learner in preparation for a steep learning curve.
- Fluency using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat.

Our lovely and comfortable office, centrally located in a heritage home on the periphery of downtown Victoria. We offer parking, a full chef’s kitchen and a positive environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
