As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for providing financial and analytical support for effective reporting and processing of Vendor Income, including collections, rebates, allowances, and vendor management programs. This role will provide support for the month-end close, planning and forecasting and other ad hoc business requests. Led by the Finance Manager – Vendor Income, this opportunity suits a highly skilled communicator with excellent time management abilities and a strong foundation in financial knowledge, as well as a thorough understanding of accounting principles and concepts.

- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for various supplier allowances and non-compliance fines.

Run regularly recurring processes to support monthly close activities, as well as quarterly and year-end reporting.

Collaborate with the Senior Financial Analyst – Vendor Income to assist with performing analytical reviews of allowance collections and assist with tracking and collection of allowances.

Participate in annual planning and monthly forecasting with respect to supplier funding and vendor rebates.

Identify, assess, and communicate issues or opportunities affecting profitability and/or overall efficiencies.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and recommend changes that will improve the company’s financial performance. Comply with all internal controls and other relevant accounting standards and policies.
- Additional ad hoc projects and other tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager - Vendor Income.
We’re looking for:
- Bachelor's in Finance or Accounting.

Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role, with strong financial knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and concepts. Retail accounting experience preferred.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence decisions to profitably drive the business.

Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities with ease while continuing to meet deadlines and produce high-quality deliverables.

Must be detail-oriented with strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to handle confidentiality.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including exceptional skills with Excel and other analytical tools. Knowledge of Access and Oracle systems is an asset.

The ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.
