Maintenance Technician
Location Harley, Ont
OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the role of a Maintenance Technician is to diagnose and repair a wide range of equipment and utilities used within the precast manufacturing plants & buildings.
THE DAY TO DAY
-
Perform all duties in a safe manner.

Work with other Maintenance team members to accomplish tasks.

Operate equipment such as overhead cranes, genie booms, forklifts, milling machine, lathe, horizonal bandsaw and other hand-powered tools.

Troubleshoot and test equipment.

Performing mechanical repairs on equipment.
-
Execute schedule PM’s and report findings to supervisor.

Weld and fabricate as required.

Facilitate the start-up and installation of new equipment.

Work is performed and documented through a CMMS program
-
Work with maintenance supervisor for scheduling of down time to work on equipment or projects
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
-
Minimum 5-8 years of knowledge of trades related to equipment / electrical etc.

Proficient in the use of all tools of trade,
-
A firm understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic and conveying systems
-
Practical working experiences are an asset

Strong work ethic and highly motivated.

Ability to work with little or no supervision.

Reliable transportation
-
Detailed record-keeping abilities.

Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Provide your own standard tools.

Proficient in use of technology e.g. cell phone CMMS programs & email
