Whyte Mechanical is hiring an experienced Commercial Plumbing Foreman for a new hotel project starting immediately in downtown Vancouver.
We’re looking for someone who can lead from the front, coordinate crews, stay organized, and keep the job moving safely and efficiently. This is a great opportunity for a strong foreman who wants steady work on a high-profile commercial project with a growing mechanical company.
Responsibilities
As the Commercial Plumbing Foreman, you will be responsible for:
- Leading and supervising plumbing crews on site
- Coordinating day-to-day manpower, materials, and site activities
- Reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, and project documents
- Laying out plumbing systems and ensuring work is completed to code
- Coordinating with the project manager, site superintendent, other trades, and inspectors
- Tracking progress, identifying issues early, and helping keep the project on schedule
- Ordering and organizing materials as required
- Ensuring quality workmanship and maintaining a clean, safe worksite
- Supporting apprentices and journeypersons with direction and mentorship
- Maintaining accurate daily records, site notes, and time tracking
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Red Seal Plumbing ticket preferred
- Strong commercial plumbing experience
- Previous foreman or lead hand experience
- Experience with hotel, multi-family, mixed-use, or commercial projects
- Ability to read and work from mechanical drawings
- Strong knowledge of plumbing code and construction sequencing
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work well with site supers, project managers, consultants, inspectors, and other trades
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
