We are currently seeking self-motivated, driven individuals with a “hunter” mindset with diversified experience in Parcel, Freight and Warehousing to join our Western Canada Commercial Sales team in Edmonton, AB. Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm
Full-time, permanent
Work Environment: Hybrid – Remote from home, On the road and in-Office (3 days/week in office required)
Sales Territory: Edmonton, AB
- Working at the terminal level, prospect to generate new business opportunities from both existing client base and new customers in assigned territory
- Collaborate with independent contractors and operations management on route-specific leads and targets
- Coordinate prospecting efforts to solicit and grow customer base with the goal of improving route density (stops per day) and overall route productivity
- Retain current customer base by providing creative solutions that respond to customer needs
- Analyze customer needs/requirements and propose solutions
- Track and report on business opportunities and sales performance using CRM
- Conduct research to understand target prospects, changing market conditions, and competition
- Work with operations to ensure available capacity and ability to meet customer demands
- Maintain strong relationships internally with key stakeholders
- Coordinate account opening, rate implementation, IT requirements and operational needs with various departments
Requirements
- Commuting between regional terminals to cover localized territory (close proximity) as necessary
- Previous experience in inside sales (preferably in the transportation industry)
- Results oriented with a sense of urgency; motivated by success
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic and personal commitment to exceeding commitments
- Strong communicator with excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Excellent time management and sense of priorities
- Bachelor Degree an asset
- Business to Business Sales : 1 year (required)
- Parcel / Warehousing and Freight : 1 year is considered an asset
