We're looking for a highly motivated sales professional who wants to build a long-term career in industrial sales.
This is not a transactional sales role.
You will be speaking with:
- Maintenance Managers
- Engineering Managers
- Plant Managers
- Controls Engineers
- Operations Leaders
- Automation Professionals
- Manufacturing Executives
The ideal candidate is comfortable initiating conversations, asking thoughtful questions, and building relationships with technical decision-makers.
You do not need an engineering background.
You do need curiosity, discipline, persistence, and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Prospect manufacturers, OEMs, robotics companies, and industrial businesses
- Make outbound cold calls
- Send prospecting emails and LinkedIn outreach
- Schedule discovery meetings for SGI leadership
- Maintain CRM records and follow-up activity
- Learn SGI's automation, robotics, controls, and engineering capabilities
- Build relationships with prospective clients
- Participate in ongoing sales training and coaching
What Success Looks Like
Year 1
Your primary responsibility is generating opportunities.
You will:
- Learn industrial sales
- Learn automation and robotics terminology
- Master prospecting
- Consistently book qualified meetings
Target Income:
$50,000-$60,000+
Year 2
You begin participating in discovery conversations and opportunity development.
You will:
- Qualify opportunities
- Participate in client meetings
- Develop consultative selling skills
- Take ownership of portions of the sales cycle
Target Income:
$100,000-$125,000+
Year 3
You transition into a true industrial sales consultant role.
You will:
- Lead discovery calls
- Manage opportunities
- Build client relationships
- Develop proposals
- Close business
Target Income:
$150,000-$250,000+
Top performers may exceed these earnings.
Compensation Structure
Meeting Bonuses
Earn compensation for qualified meetings that are attended by prospects.
Revenue Share
Earn ongoing commissions based on projects and revenue generated from clients you bring to SGI.
Unlike many sales organizations, your compensation is tied directly to the value you create and the relationships you develop.
The more business you generate, the more you earn.
There is no cap on earnings.
Training & Development
We invest heavily in training.
Sales team members will receive coaching based on proven sales methodologies, including:
- SPIN Selling

- Objection Handling & Negotiation
You will learn how to sell to engineers, plant managers, maintenance managers, and manufacturing executives.
