Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Controller to join our finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial health and operational efficiency of our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills, proficiency with various accounting software, and a solid understanding of financial processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and budgeting. The Assistant Controller will support the Controller in managing daily accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and analyzing financial statements and reports to support decision-making processes.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Oversee payroll processing to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Perform account reconciliations and account analysis to maintain accurate financial records.
- Support budgeting activities by preparing forecasts and monitoring budget performance.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other systems to record, track, and report financial data.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
- Assist in audit preparations and liaise with external auditors as needed.
- Maintain organized documentation of financial transactions for audit readiness.
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Experience
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within a similar industry.
- Proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other relevant platforms.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and budgeting processes.
- Experience with account reconciliation and account analysis is essential.
- Familiarity with managing multiple financial tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
