The Opportunity:
Solvest is seeking a highly motivated project manager to provide vital operational and organizational project administration support on large-scale renewable energy projects across northern Canada.
Since Solvest began operations in 2015, we have taken on and completed larger and more complex and exciting projects as we push renewable energy in northern and remote regions. Solvest’s goal is to be the leading engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company for microgrids in northern Canada and Alaska, a company based in the North, for the North.
This position is preferred to report into our Cobourg office but may be performed as a hybrid position working remotely up to 3 days a week for candidates with proven high-quality tactical capabilities as a remote team member.
Employment Status: Permanent Full Time – 40 hours per week
Wage Range: $30.00 - $46.00 / hour (based on experience)
Leave Entitlement: Four weeks of paid vacation to start (20 days) + 5 paid sick days per year.

Job Description (high level summary - not inclusive of all duties):
This is an execution-focused project management role specializing in administrative, data, and logistical workflows. The position does not have direct personnel reports or independent profit-and-loss (P&L) signing authority.
- Maintain day-to-day project schedules, track team deliverables, and ensure milestone documentation is completed on time.
- Analyze operational data to prepare periodic progress reports, project manuals, and correspondence.
- Coordinate the preparation and scheduling of project-related meetings, agendas, and stakeholder briefs; document detailed action items and distribute meeting minutes on time.
- Coordinate logistics including scheduling, resource booking, and follow-ups.
- Oversee the central project repository, ensuring all contracts, change orders, and technical specs are accurately catalogued.
- Support budget and cash tracking through data entry and invoice tracking; monitor project expenditures, track line items against approved budgets, and flag variances.
- Onboard vendors and monitor procurement activities.
- Utilize standard tools, templates, and processes to ensure all documentation and recordkeeping is maintained, accessible, and clear.
Required Skills/Qualification:
- Completion of secondary school required
- Project management certification (such as CAPM or PMP) is considered a strong asset to support our project execution workflows
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail required for this position
- Disciplined in process execution and proven record of task tracking skills
- Proficiency with ERP systems preferred
- Proficiency with SmartSheet preferred

- Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of claims history experience in Canada and a clean abstract
