Santé Circle Health is looking for a Senior Accountant to support the Finance team in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and fostering strong working relationships across the organization. This individual will work closely with a broader team, including Operations, to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
We are looking for someone with a strong foundation in financial processes, along with a proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach as well as effective communication skills. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with a high level of detail, while partnering with Finance colleagues and operational teams to resolve issues, improve processes, and support overall operational success.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Operations & Accounting
- Assist with month end entries and reconciliations for multiple entities
- Support contract invoicing and revenue reporting, accessing multiple software systems
- Ensure completeness of contract revenue and related costs
- Adhere to revenue recognition policies utilizing WIP inventory
- Gross margin review and analysis
- Support external audit by providing documentation as required.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with Finance colleagues and operational teams to support accurate financial processes.
- Communicate professionally with internal teams and external clients and vendors regarding invoicing and account inquiries.
- Contribute to a collaborative and solutions-focused team environment.
- Support timely resolution of issues while maintaining positive working relationships.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure financial activities align with internal policies and controls.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and support audit activities as required.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and collaboration.
Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP functions, complex formulas, data analysis, and reconciliation of large data sets.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across the organization.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative and solutions-focused team environment.
Qualifications:
- CPA designation or close to completing their CPA, with consideration also given to candidates who bring substantial experience in a Senior Accountant capacity
- Minimum 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience using accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Online, Netsuite).
- Experience working with multiple entities would be considered an asset.
- Experience working with insurance claim or project-based billing would be considered an asset.
- Experience working in a healthcare or service-based organization would be considered an asset.
This position is compensated on a salaried basis. The expected annual earnings for this role range from $80,000 - $90,000.
