Position Overview
As a Used Car Reconditioning Technician, you will focus exclusively on inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and reconditioning pre-owned vehicles for retail sale. You will work closely with our used vehicle department to ensure every vehicle meets safety, performance, and appearance standards before reaching the lot.This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who enjoys consistent workflow, minimal customer interaction, the ability to earn strong hourly compensation, and flexible hours!!
Compensation
- $35.00–$40.00 per hour
- Full-time, permanent position
- Overtime opportunities available (Flexible hours)
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical inspections and repairs on used vehicles only
- Complete used vehicle safety inspections and reconditioning work
- Diagnose drivability, electrical, suspension, brake, and engine concerns
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, brakes, tires, and fluid services
- Replace and install automotive parts and components
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve issues efficiently
- Follow dealership repair procedures and safety standards
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and properly care for shop equipment
- Work collaboratively with the reconditioning and sales teams to meet deadlines
Qualifications
- Valid 310S Automotive Service Technician License
- Minimum 3 years of automotive technician experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
- Experience working on multiple vehicle makes and models
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Valid G Class Driver’s License
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding conditions
