About the Opportunity

Lead and manage the Financial Planning & Analysis function, including developing forecast/plan (for product profitability, annual budget, optimization of operating expenses, etc.) and monitoring of these forecast/plans against the actuals. This will involve working closely with the senior management team across the firm
Manage the treasury functions, including cash management for multiple entities (i.e. manage and monitor short-term as well as medium-term cash flow forecasts to actual), monitor capital requirements across entities and assist in the development and implementation of financial and tax strategies
Manage securitization programmes, including facility renewals, monthly reporting, tranche planning as well as tranche closings. Proactively monitor securitization covenants and highlight emerging trends on a timely basis
Act as Finance lead on business development projects and strategic. This will include:
working with cross-functional teams to identify issues (owned by Finance) and recommend solutions for a successful implementation;
assessing the economic outcome/impact of business opportunities and/or strategic initiatives by developing suitable financial models
For public company reporting, act as point of contact for investor relations
Work closely with Controller to review quarterly and annual financial statements and take the lead on drafting MD&A and press releases
Work closely with external legal counsel to manage all aspects of public company related filings
Prepare for and manage quarterly board and annual shareholders’ meetings
Lead any capital raises or option grants/exercises
Develop and manage key relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Manage Cash Operations team and identify opportunities for process improvements or efficiencies to continuously improve on manual nature of team’s responsibilities and use of new features and services offered by the servicing platforms
Lead in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of effective and efficient internal controls and relevant policies for key processes
Provide leadership/supervision to direct reports including assigning/reviewing work, performance assessments and providing clear expectations and meaningful Attract, retain and engage a high performing team with an expandable capacity to scale with the growth of the business. Act as a coach and facilitator to create and sustain a cooperative work environment to achieve set targets

About You

University Undergraduate degree with designation in Business, Commerce or equivalent; plus, a professional accounting designation (CPA)
A minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience in Financial Services industry
Track record of innovating and bringing structure and order to a complex process and/or issue
Application of legal agreements including reviewing and contributing sections to these documents
Investment/credit analysis; able to assess opportunity and risk, and add value to the deal structure and due diligence
Proven analytical, financial modeling, accounting, and problem-solving skills
Good knowledge of consumer finance products
Excellent interpersonal, presentation and verbal/written communication skills
Advanced MS Excel and database skills, including building complex multi-scenario financial models

Quickly able to understand the fundamentals of what drives the business; can hit the ground running and identify opportunities for growth and increased synergies within the organization

Salary Range

$120,000 - $130,000/year
