If you’re looking for an important job during the COVID-19 pandemic, Silvera for Seniors is urgently hiring several people into the new position of Greeter.
The Greeter role has been created in response to an Alberta Health Services (AHS) directive requiring seniors housing organizations to screen people wishing to enter their facilities—in Silvera’s case, our nine supportive living communities located in all four quadrants of Calgary.
Greeters are responsible for screening designated essential visitors and employees at facility entrances to determine if they may enter the community on that day. This will include taking each potential entrant’s temperature using a non-touch thermometer and administering an AHS screening questionnaire with each person.
Nursing students or people with a nursing or healthcare background are preferred, or those with an interest or experience working with seniors.
Shifts of varying lengths occur seven days a week between the hours of 5:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.
This position pays $15.00 per hour with applicable overtime. A meal is provided at no charge for each shift worked.
If you are interested in this position, kindly submit your resume and covering letter selecting Apply.
Note: We thank all applicants; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted. Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we will not be accepting phone calls about individual applications. All offers made are contingent upon a successful criminal record check.
