What is the Job?
Technicians are a vital part of our service division, performing skilled repairs and maintenance on heavy & medium duty trucks by trouble shooting major and minor mechanical problems, performing diagnostics and repairing/adjusting all necessary components to correctly complete the repair.

The successful candidate will perform labourer, shop maintenance tasks and work alongside skilled journeyman technicians to provide support on the repair and learn about the trade. After a minimum 6-month period, the Company will evaluate the individual for an apprenticeship opportunity.
Duties & Responsibilities

Effectively perform shop clean up and any other required tasks to produce quality work within the required timeframe

Perform their work safety by executing safety conscious behavior and abiding by all safety requirements

Reliable, follow direction and show a willingness to learn

What you need:

General knowledge and interest of equipment mechanics

Previous laborer experience, either in a shop, farm or industrial environment is an asset

An aspiration and desire to pursue an apprenticeship as a Truck and Transport Technician is required

Must be able to lift a minimum 50 lbs. frequently, walk around shop floor & exterior yard with long periods of standing/walking, requires mobility to easily access trucks and repair areas

Ability to perform work in all types of weather conditions

Valid Class 5 drivers license
-
No basic tools are required, but the individual must provide their own CSA approved steel toe safety boots
