Job Goal:
To assist with general administrative duties relating to the operations of the facility. Facility Attendants provide high quality customer service to the public and help to manage traffic flow through the facility. Facility Attendants are required to perform light janitorial duties in order to maintain a clean and safe facility including the set-up and take down of tables/chairs, sporting equipment, etc. Cashier and receptionist duties as required. _____________________________________________________________________________________
Duties and Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
- Assist the management team and company personnel with day-to-day activities and special projects
- Ensures customers receive outstanding service by providing prompt service, greeting and acknowledging every customer, providing accurate product and service information, and accurately answering all questions that may arise
- Answers incoming phone calls/emails/voicemails and provide accurate answers and directions
- Registers and collect payment for programs and rental fees
- Maintains awareness of all products and services provided by Mid-Sun Community Centre
- Receives and receipts daily transactions at cash register. Prepares register reconciliation of monies received
- Opening and Closing of the Building (keyholder)
- Must be comfortable working alone, and alone at night
- Communicates customer requests, and/or concerns to management and other staff as needed
- Communicates any safety or security concerns to management and other staff as needed
- Monitors building rentals, assists with clean-up and reports any damages or defaults in contracts
- Helps to ensure overall appearance of facility is in proper order at all times
- Sets up/ Takes down tables, chairs, and other equipment as needed for classes and special events
- Performs minor cleaning duties such as vacuuming, mopping, and dusting
- Performs outdoor maintenance duties such as watering of plants and shoveling of snow on sidewalk/entryway
- Other duties as required and/or requested
Skills, Work Experience, and Abilities:
- Requires the ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement and to manage ever changing priorities with minimal direction
- Must have technical ability to quickly learn computer systems
- Acute attention to detail

- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Excellent Customer Service skills and ability to communicate fluently in English. Multilingualism is an asset.

- Able to perform light-medium physical work. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Performing cash outs, accepting payments, use of POS terminal
Requirements:
- Current First Aid /CPR certification
- Police Clearance with Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the last 6 months
- Minimum age of 18

Schedule/Hours:
- Set shifts no more than 8 hours per shift (1-4 per week)
- Typical shifts Monday to Friday: 4 p.m. – 11 p.m.
- Typical shifts Saturday between 8am and 11pm (day shared)
- Sunday: 9 a.m. –5 p.m. (Single Shift or Shared day)
- Split shifts may be required.
- Coverage for other staff due to holidays or illness may be required.
- Closed all long weekends and for 2 weeks during Christmas holiday (may be extended)
