Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Montessori Qualified Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, with experience in Montessori teaching methods, and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children. This role involves working closely with children, families, and colleagues to support developmental milestones and promote a love of learning.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement Montessori-based lesson plans tailored to individual children's needs and developmental stages
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence
- Observe and assess children's progress, documenting developmental milestones and communicating effectively with parents and team members
- Support children's social-emotional development through positive guidance and relationship-building
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities that promote cognitive, physical, and emotional growth
- Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety standards in accordance with licensing requirements
- Integrate bilingual communication (English/French) as appropriate to support language development
- Utilize computer skills for record keeping, communication, and educational resources management
Requirements
- Valid Montessori Qualified Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) certification
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings; classroom experience preferred
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual proficiency in French is a plus
- Knowledge of child development principles, special education needs, and working with children with disabilities is desirable
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a dynamic environment
- Leadership qualities to guide children confidently while fostering independence
- Proficiency in computer operation for documentation and communication purposes
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and demonstrate strong writing skills for reporting purposes
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining current knowledge of early childhood education practices
Pay: $21.00-$24.86 per hour
