We are looking to hire a G Class driver for our client in Toronto area. You will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include conducting pre-trip inspections, completing paperwork, and adhering to traffic laws and company policies. You will be responsible for loading and unloading vehicle, providing customer service, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Operation: Safely operating a vehicle requiring a G class license van, or small truck.
- Delivery/Transportation: Transporting goods to designated locations, which may include residential areas, businesses, or other specified destinations.
- Loading/Unloading: Handling and securing cargo, which may involve lifting and carrying items.
- Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service during deliveries, which include interacting with customers and addressing any concerns.
- Documentation: Completing necessary paperwork, such as delivery logs, and ensuring accuracy in recording information.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Performing basic vehicle checks, such as pre-trip inspections, and ensuring the vehicle is clean and well-maintained.
- Adherence to Regulations: Following all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid G Class Driver's License
- Clean Driving Record
- Minimum 3 years experience driving a 3 Ton vehicle
- Physical Fitness: Lifting will be involved, will need to carry items from truck to inside customer location
- Customer Service Skills: Ability to interact professionally and courteously with customers.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills
- Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively to ensure timely deliveries.
- Organizational Skills: Crucial for managing paperwork, routes, and deliveries.
- Teamwork: Ability to work as part of a team, especially when assisting with loading and unloading.
Pay: $20.00 per hour
