Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced DZ Straight ( manual)Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight and materials across various locationsin GTA . This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism, ensuring timely delivery and excellent service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate DZ licensed trucks for local or regional freight deliveries.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and reporting of any issues encountered during transit.
- Assist with the maintenance and minor repairs of trucks and equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies during transportation activities.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate deliveries.
Skills
- Valid DZ license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields.
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
