Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Assistant Site Supervisor to support the day-to-day operations of residential construction projects, including both single-family and multi-family builds. Working closely with the Site Supervisor/Project Manager, this role helps ensure that construction activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with project timelines and quality standards.
The Assistant Site Supervisor will assist with coordinating subcontractors, managing materials and site logistics, maintaining safety protocols, and supporting communication between on-site teams, project managers, and clients. This position is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in residential construction, a proactive work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Qualifications
- Must have advanced carpentry skills and final finishing skills (minor paint touch ups, silicone, dapping, alignments)
- Must have a reliable truck and tools (battery power preferred) to commute to multiple job sites.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, renderings, and specifications.
- Comfortable working under pressure while supporting multiple active projects.
- Previous experience in a supportive or supervisory construction role is preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Familiarity with basic project management tools is an asset (Buildertrend).
- Safety-conscious with a keen eye for detail and site cleanliness.
- A collaborative and adaptable attitude with a focus on problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Site Supervisor with daily operations and on-site coordination.
- Help manage subcontractors, material deliveries, and site schedules.
- Support in maintaining project documentation, progress tracking, and reporting.
- Conduct routine site checks to ensure safety, cleanliness, and adherence to construction plans.
- Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and stakeholders to support project goals.
- Participate in resolving on-site issues and providing practical solutions.
- Assist in monitoring timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks across multiple projects.
- Work across various single/multi-family sites, including fourplex units with legal suites.
