Apollo is the global leader in premium electric mobility. We build the best-riding scooters in the world — and we're hiring someone to make our social presence match the product.
This is an ownership role. We've run social reactively for years, with the founding team defaulting to what we know. That ends with this hire. You'll own social strategy across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, set the direction, and be accountable for the results. We are not going to hand you a content plan — we're hiring you to build it.
Why this role matters right now
YouTube already touches 53% of our customers somewhere in their shopping journey — and that's with us neglecting it. Between our own channel and our affiliate network, the upside is enormous, and building out that affiliate network is one of the biggest prizes in this role. Meanwhile TikTok and Instagram have been afterthoughts where we repost YouTube clips; each deserves a dedicated, native plan. Today, every month is a shotgun approach — we guess, we throw spaghetti at the wall. You're here to replace that with a system.
How we want you to think
This is the part that matters most, so read it carefully. We want someone who thinks about content the way an owner thinks about spend — in ROI and value, not "I have a job to do."
You're fully capable of picking up a camera and shooting. But you'll often conclude you shouldn't. If a $1,000 scooter handed to the right creator buys us 20 hours of b-roll for less than your own time is worth, you make that call and spend your hours coordinating instead. Knowing which call is right — shoot it yourself, or orchestrate someone else — is the actual skill we're hiring for. This is a strategist-and-coordinator role first; hands-on production is a tool you reach for when it's the highest-value move, not your default setting.
The job
You orchestrate. Your day is directing a roster of creators, affiliates, and videographers, and turning their output into a coherent, compelling story for Apollo — with a native plan for each of our three platforms, not one plan copy-pasted across them. You trade product and access for content, manage contributors at scale, and run a methodical test-and-learn system that tells us what actually works, by platform, by format, by angle. You bring the craft to recognize good content and direct it. But the mandate is building the engine, not operating the equipment.
What you'll own — the strategy
- Per-channel social strategy across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram — a distinct, native plan for each, aligned to product launches, campaigns, and paid media
- Growth of our YouTube presence and the expansion of our affiliate creator network — our single biggest untapped channel
- Durable marketing pillars and major activations that build traction over time — moving us off the month-to-month guessing and toward a repeatable system that makes Apollo stand out on the strength of our product and story
- A structured creative testing system: hypotheses, variants, results, iteration — not one-off posts
- Monthly KPIs and reporting — clear analysis and recommendations you act on
What you'll own — the production engine
- The full creator lifecycle: sourcing, outreach, negotiation (often product-for-content, not cash), briefing, production oversight, and delivery
- The content pipeline and shoot planning — the filming schedule and footage flow, including shooting yourself when that's genuinely the fastest, highest-value path
- Repurposing our existing footage library into short-form and ad-ready content at consistent volume
- Ongoing sourcing and onboarding of new micro and UGC creators as the roster grows
- Day-to-day social management — posting, community replies, DMs. We're small; the person who owns the strategy also keeps the lights on, and is honest about that.
You're a fit if
- You're scrappy, hungry, and want to make an impact. Apollo doesn't hold your hand to success — we offer high expectations and high support in equal measure.
- You've independently owned a channel or social strategy and can point to results you drove with no one directing you. This is the one we care about most.
- You think in systems — repeatable processes and disciplined creative tests, not trend-chasing one post at a time
- You're AI-native in practice: you automate creator outreach, generate and test creative variance, edit faster, and pull reporting with AI as a default, not a novelty (Higgsfield and similar tools included)
- You know YouTube cold — long and short — and you're fluent in what performs on Shorts, Reels, and TikTok, and why
- You're relentless at sourcing and signing creators; cold outreach doesn't faze you
- You're self-directed and organized enough to run multiple creator workstreams without dropping anything
- You can shoot and cut when the moment calls for it, and articulate why a piece of content works — but you'd rather build the system than be the system
