Position Title: Math Instructor (Youth Employment Incentive Program)

Mathnasium of Killarney is a specialized math learning centre committed to helping students in Grades K–12 build confidence and excel in mathematics. Through our proprietary Mathnasium Method™, we help students develop a deep understanding of math concepts while improving problem-solving skills and academic performance.
Position Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Math Instructor to join our team through the Alberta Youth Employment Incentive Program. The successful candidate will work directly with students in a supportive and engaging learning environment, helping them develop math skills and confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized and small-group math instruction to students from elementary to high school levels
- Deliver instruction using the Mathnasium Method™ and student learning plans
- Assess student understanding and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain a positive, encouraging, and professional learning environment
- Support student engagement and motivation during learning sessions
- Communicate student progress and observations to Centre Leadership
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities
- Assist with administrative and centre activities as required
Qualifications
- Youth participant eligible under the Alberta Youth Employment Incentive Program - high school to age 24
- Alberta resident AND Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Strong math skills through to Grade 12 level
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with children and teenagers in a positive and encouraging manner
- Reliable, professional, and eager to learn
- Previous tutoring, mentoring, coaching, or teaching experience is an asset
