Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable Part-Time Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves safely transporting goods to various locations while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license, experience with commercial driving, and the ability to operate heavy equipment if needed. This position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport freight and packages to designated locations
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or hand trucks
- Ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles and report any maintenance issues
- Assist with warehouse operations, including freight handling and inventory management
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures upon delivery
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting if necessary to ensure vehicle safety and functionality
Experience
- Prior experience in commercial driving or delivery services is preferred
- Knowledge of forklift operation, heavy equipment operation, or automotive repair is a plus
- Familiarity with freight handling and warehouse procedures is advantageous
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently is desirable
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate records and ensuring smooth deliveries
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
