Wash Doctors Pressure Washing Inc. is a growing exterior cleaning company serving Thornhill and surrounding areas. We specialize in residential and commercial pressure washing, soft washing, and window cleaning. We’re looking for a motivated, reliable canvasser to help us grow our customer base during our busy season.
Position Summary
We are hiring a Seasonal Part‑Time Canvasser / Flyer Distributor to distribute flyers door‑to‑door. This role runs from mid‑July to mid‑September 2026, with the possibility of returning for our next busy season starting April 2027.
This is a great fit for someone who enjoys working outdoors, walking, and talking with people, and wants flexible part‑time income during the summer.
Key Responsibilities
- Distribute flyers door‑to‑door in assigned neighbourhoods.
- Follow a mapped route and cover designated areas efficiently.
- Briefly introduce Wash Doctors’ services to homeowners when appropriate (no hard selling, just friendly awareness).
- Track streets/households canvassed using a simple logging app (Strava or Map My Walk)
- Represent the company professionally and courteously at all times, will be provided with branded polo and baseball cap to wear during route.
- Report daily results (areas covered, conversations, leads) to the owner/supervisor.
- Respect “no soliciting” signs and all local bylaws related to canvassing.
Requirements
- Comfortable walking outdoors for several hours per shift in various weather conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable attitude.
- Basic smartphone skills (for maps, logging routes, and messaging).
- Legally able to work in Ontario.
- Access to reliable transportation to get to assigned neighbourhoods (Thornhill and nearby areas).
Nice to Have (Assets)
- Previous canvassing, sales, or customer service experience.
- Knowledge of Thornhill and surrounding communities.
- Interest in home services or trades (pressure washing, window cleaning, etc.).
Schedule and Employment Type
- Employment type: Seasonal, Part‑Time, Temporary.
- Approximate duration: Mid‑July to mid‑September 2026.
- Typical shifts: Afternoons, evenings, and/or weekends (we can discuss exact schedule).
- Hours per week: 8 hours per week.
- Potential to return for our spring/summer season starting April 2027, based on results and fit.
Compensation
- Hourly wage
- Possible performance‑based bonuses for qualified leads or booked jobs (to be discussed during interview process)
