JOB DESCRIPTION
The Press Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the assigned press and recording periodic checks, for the quality of the product being produced.
SHIFTS AVAILABLE
- DAY SHIFT: 6:00am - 2:00pm Monday to Friday
or
- AFTERNOON SHIFT: 2:00pm - 10:00pm Monday to Friday
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- The safe and efficient operation of a transfer metal press (250 to 2000 Ton).
- Must meet assigned production quotas and requirements.
- Ensures raw material being used is the correct material and gathers all Receiving Inspection Tags.
- Ensure that the scrap from the die is conveyed into the scrap containers, and that all set-up scrap has been removed from the area. Ensure that garbage and scrap metal are being properly segregated.
- Maintain production logs and documentation.
- Work with QC personal on ensuring quality is maintained during production and setup
- Quickly resolve metal stamping production issues, preserving production quotas and timelines.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Automotive metal stamping / manufacturing production experience is required
- Familiarity with Quality Documentation / ISO9001 / TS16949
- Understand basic written and verbal instructions to complete assigned tasks
- Valid Lift Truck Training is an asset but not required
- Valid Overhead Crane Training is an asset but not required
COMPENSATION and BENEFITS
- Starting from $22.66 to $28.00 per hour
