About the Role
At Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler our Banquet team plays a vital role in creating thoughtful, memorable guest experiences. As a Full Time Banquet Manager , you’ll lead the collaborative team that prepares and executes events with consistency, attention to detail and care . You’ll work closely with our sales and catering team to plan and execute events in the resort.
The role is suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting, has a high level of detail and has dedication to lead a team. You’ll be part of a team that balances high service volume with a strong commitment to execute quality and consistency.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee all banquet operations including conference and banquet rooms, individual receptions, weddings and celebrations throughout the resort as well as offsite locations.
- Partner and communicate with the Catering and Conference team. This includes attending, resolving, and executing instructions in Banquet Event Order (BEO) meetings and during operations.
- Train, mentor and coach the banquet team is meeting Four Seasons Standards of service
- Strong ability to be visible during events providing recognition and good public relations in guest concerns or special requests
- Conduct daily and monthly meetings with the team on key performance indicators as well as BEO
- Monitor and assess product and service and keeping up and ahead of event trends and ideas.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, storage, sanitation and alcohol awareness standard
- Assist in recruitment, interviewing and training team members
- Ensuring proper management of labor, reporting and forecasting labor standards with the use of OnTrack Software
What You’ll Bring
- At least 2 years in a lead capacity or supervisory role, ideally in a luxury hotel/restaurant environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge and passion for all aspects of food and beverage.
- Proficient command of the English language.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills, coupled with a dedication to customer service.
- Possession of the Serving it Right Certificate.
- Valid work authorization for Canada

- Annual Salary: $72,000-75,000 per year with an annual incentive plan
