Overview
The Pressman is responsible for the operation of the press and for the quality and quantity of work performed on that press.
:
- Operates and oversees all activities of the press; approves all decisions involving print quality
- Ensure the ticket information, roll stock, cylinders, proofs, color information, plates mounted, are correct prior to set up
- Sets up the press; prepares and checks controls, supplies, impression setting, web path, all perfing requirements, die cutting is set
- Consumes material in Label Traxx as required accounting for all material used
- Checks samples from each roll confirming colour, registration, rewind number, and all measurements are in spec
- Completes all records on the ticket envelope as required
- Trouble shoots Print issues on Press
- Ensures all information about the machine and order is passed ono the next shift
- Ensures all equipment is kept clean and stored properly
- Ensures that all necessary ISO paper work is filled out as required
:
- Abides by all Management System policies, follows procedures, work instructions and other requirements including adherence to EH&S Act regulations.
- Obligation to take any necessary steps/actions to continue adherence to the Management System (quality and environmental). If the necessary steps are outside assigned authority, there is an obligation to bring the issue to his/her Supervisor.
- Performs other duties as required by the Manager/Supervisor
