Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight and packages to various destinations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips for mechanical issues or safety concerns
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, delivery receipts, and incident reports
- Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers to confirm delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
- Assist with warehouse operations by organizing freight, preparing shipments, and ensuring proper storage of goods
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and delivery processes
- Physical stamina to lift, carry, and move freight regularly; ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and customers
- Excellent time management skills for getting deliveries assembled and out to customers
