About Us
TropicalYYC is Calgary’s leading Latin restaurant & nightclub, known for our vibrant atmosphere, live entertainment, and high-energy weekends. We’re looking for a Line Cook to join our kitchen team on Fridays and Saturdays — preparing fresh Latin-inspired dishes and supporting our dinner and late-night menu service.
The Role
As a Line Cook, you’ll work with our kitchen team to prepare and plate dishes quickly, consistently, and with attention to detail. This role is perfect for an experienced cook who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants steady weekend hours.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare, cook, and plate dishes during dinner service (6–10 PM) and late-night service (10 PM–close).
- Maintain consistency and quality for every order.
- Follow kitchen prep and cleaning checklists.
- Work closely with the chef and other cooks to manage timing and flow of orders.
- Keep a clean and organized workstation.
- Follow all food safety and health regulations.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous line cook experience (restaurant or nightclub kitchen preferred).
- Ability to handle high-volume service under pressure.
- Knowledge of Latin food a bonus, but not required.
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player.
- Available every Friday & Saturday evening until close (approx. 1:00–1:30 AM).
Compensation
- Hourly Pay: $16 – $18/hour
- Tips: Share of tip pool
