I’m For Kids Team is a Community-Based Early Intervention Program for children 2 ½ to 6 years with an inclusive, play-based approach to developmentally appropriate programming. Each child/ family becomes part of a Multi-Disciplinary Instructional Team consisting SLP, OT, Behaviour Specialist, Program Support Assistant (PSA) and Education Coordinator (EC).
Our program offers a variety of programming options including individualized inclusive programming, as well as opportunities for coaching parents and team collaboration. All Speech Language Pathologists work collaboratively in planning and delivering programming.
Responsibilities Include:
- Working with a supportive, progressive multi-disciplinary team
- Assessment and programming for preschool-aged children with a variety of needs
- Participation in the development of Individualized Program Plans (IPPs)
- Work collaboratively in community preschools/daycare settings with all team members including families, Preschool/daycare teachers, and Program Support Assistants (PSAs)
- Assist families in designing an appropriate educational program and sharing goals and progress throughout the year
- Contributing to ongoing Program Support Assistant training

The ideal candidate will:
- Have strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skill
- Be able to work independently AND as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Have excellent time management skills
- Have experience working with preschool-aged children
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the children and the learning environment
- Willingness to travel to all geographical areas of Calgary and surrounding communities (Strathmore, Airdrie, Okotoks & Chestermere)
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Therapy
- Registration with ACSLPA (Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists)
- Have a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel
- Current Police Information Check (Vulnerable sector, must be within the last 6 months)
