Job Title: Event Support Staff
Job Location: Calgary, AB
Our client is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Event Support Staff to support a large-scale event. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are committed to delivering an excellent attendee experience while ensuring smooth event operations.
What's the Job?
- Direct vehicles to designated parking areas and manage traffic flow safely
- Provide clear parking instructions and assistance to attendees
- Verify and redeem event tickets and support guest entry procedures
- Assist with resolving basic ticketing issues and escalate when required
- Welcome and guide attendees throughout the event venue
- Support crowd control and maintain organized movement of guests
- Provide directions, schedules, and general event information
- Assist with implementing safety and emergency procedures when needed
- Sell merchandise including apparel, promotional items, and refreshments
- Process transactions accurately using cash, debit, and credit systems
- Monitor inventory levels and restock merchandise as required
- Deliver excellent customer service and respond to product inquiries
What's Needed?
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, or events is an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Friendly, professional, and team-oriented approach
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift and carry materials or merchandise when needed
