Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper/Receptionist to join our finance section. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and supporting overall accounting functions. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in bookkeeping and accounting software to contribute to the financial health of our organization. The position is paid and suitable for candidates with experience in various accounting processes. Punjabi language skills are considered an asset, as a large portion of our clientele are Punjabi-speaking.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including data entry and record keeping
- Utilize accounting software such as Sage and Excel to maintain financial records
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely
- Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, to ensure data accuracy
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities
- Assist with payroll processing and related reporting requirements
- Support budgeting processes by providing relevant financial data and analysis
- Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, with proficiency in accounting software such as Sage and Excel
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation
- Experience with account reconciliation, account analysis, and budgeting processes
- Ability to perform detailed data entry and maintain organized financial records
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of payroll processing is a plus
- Prior experience in a similar role is preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.28-$26.00 per hour
